Under German law, if you sell subscriptions or other ongoing contracts online, you need a cancellation button (§ 312k of the German Civil Code, BGB). On top of that, § 356a BGB requires an electronic withdrawal function, so customers can exercise the EU right of withdrawal for online purchases. Shopware has neither. Legal Forms adds both: your customer submits a withdrawal or cancellation in two steps, gets an email confirmation right away, and you find the declaration as a record in the Admin.
-
Withdrawal under § 356a BGB
At
/vertrag-widerrufen. Your customer enters their details and confirms the withdrawal in a second step – exactly as the law prescribes. -
Cancellation under § 312k BGB
At
/vertrag-kuendigen, with the same flow and the same confirmation. -
Declarations stay as submitted
Staff who handle requests can view withdrawals and cancellations, but not change them.
-
Separate permissions
Viewing, editing and deleting are separate permissions.
-
Contact form included
Inquiries are also stored as records in the Admin and are anonymized automatically when the retention period ends.
-
Emails with built-in Shopware tools
You edit the wording in the regular email templates. Business events let you attach your own flows.
The plugin provides the technology. Work out the withdrawal notice, deadlines and contract types with your legal counsel.
